WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., February 22, 2005 – Maja D. Hazell, a senior associate at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett in New York City, has been named the new Assistant Dean for Career Development at Pace Law School, effective February 28, 2005.

Among her duties will be career counseling of students and alumni and fostering links to employers and legal communities across the country to expand career opportunities for students and alumni.

“Maja combines deep knowledge of the law firm world with drive, intelligence, and real warmth,” said Dean Stephen J. Friedman. “She is a wonderful addition to Pace Law School.”

At Simpson, Thatcher & Bartlett, Hazell practiced in the labor and employment litigation and executive compensation and benefits groups. Hazell received her BA in English from Yale University and her JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
