Joins Pace As a Visiting Scholar
WHITE PLAINS,
N.Y., Sept. 12, 2005 Pace Law School is proud
to welcome Professor Jose E. Alvarez as a visiting scholar. He
is currently the Hamilton Fish Professor of International Law and
Diplomacy at Columbia University, and is the founder and director of
Columbia's Center on Global Legal Problems. Professor Alvarez has
taught at Georgetown University Law Center, George Washington
University, National Law Center and the University of Michigan Law
School.
He serves on the Board of Editors for the American Journal
of International Law and the Journal of International
Criminal Justice and is a member of the Council on Foreign
Relations and Department of State Advisory Committee on International
Law. Professor Alvarez is also president-elect of the American Society
of International Law.
In spring 2006, Professor Alvarez will
deliver Pace's Blaine Sloan Lecture on International Law.
Founded in 1976, Pace Law School is a New York Law School with a
