Pace Law School Hosts Third Annual
Women's Leadership Conference Set to Empower Women
Through Personal, Physical, and Financial Knowledge
WHITE PLAINS,
NY-- Pace University School of Law will play host to the 100
Hispanic Women
Westchester
Chapter’s Third Annual Women’s Leadership Conference, to be held
on Friday, April 7, 2006, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Tudor Room,
Preston Hall. Phenomenal women of all backgrounds will be on hand to
inspire and motivate women to achieve personal, professional, and
financial growth.
The goal of the program will be to enrich and empower women. The
exceptional ensemble of women speakers will cover a variety of topics
affecting women today. Featured keynote speakers will include,
Michelle Martinez, Lawyer and Author of “The Finishing School,”
and “Most Wanted,” and Ms. Lilo Ljubisic, Consultant and
Motivational Speaker, Adecco USA, Inc. Guest speakers and successful
entrepreneurs B. Smith, restaurateur, lifestyle expert, designer,
author, and spokesperson, and Kay S. Cioffi, President, Texzen
Partners will teach us the secrets of their success, while encouraging
women to start their own businesses, think big and strengthen their
business skills through the power of knowledge.
Other guest speakers will include Lenore Washington Graham, Vice
President of Strategic Resourcing of Scripps Network (Food Network,
HGTV, DIY, Fine Living, Shop at Home,
and GAC), Jasmine Murga, International Financial Advisor, Merrill
Lynch and Rossana Rosado, Publisher and CEO of El Diario La Prensa.
The 30-minute panel discussions will include a Q&A session with
other panelists, at this time attendees will have the opportunity to
ask the speakers hands on questions that specifically pertain to them.
Panel topics will include: "Women, Power, and Professional
Attainment: Issues For the 21st Century." This lively panel
discussion will examine the ever-changing role of women; at home, in
the workplace, and in positions of leadership.
The second workshop, titled, "Fiscal Fitness: Shape Your
Financial Future," will assess fiscal health and teach ways to
stay in shape for a successful future. This exciting session will
provide a framework for women to learn how to assess individual and
family financial growth.
The third workshop, "Achieving Balance: Self-Development and
Realization," is made up of three essential elements of self:
physical, emotional, and spiritual. This workshop is designed to
explore the various ways women can assess and address the issue of
“wellness.”
Lastly, "Transitions: Negotiating Career and Professional
Development Issues," will round off the conference. This workshop
will pose the question, “Are you in charge of your professional
growth, or are you leaving it up to your manager?” Designed
for mid-career professionals, this workshop will investigate ways in
which to assess growth issues in the workplace, including education,
management training, ageism, and the impact of motherhood on career
development.
