Advanced Appellate Advocacy

This course offers advanced training in written and oral advocacy. Students will structure written and oral arguments, understand a court’s scope of review, and practice persuasive use of authority. You will draft a statement of facts, and develop your persuasive writing style and courtroom skills. This course is broken up into five sections, each focused on a different subject matter.

This course meets approximately six times during the semester and culminates in an oral argument. It is open only to second-year day students and second- and third-year evening students; each section is limited to 18 students.
