Deborah Hope Wayne is a collaborative attorney and mediator with offices in Purchase and New York City. Ms. Wayne is on the Board of Directors of The New York State Council for Divorce Mediation, a former member of the Board of Directors of the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals and a founding member of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators. She co-developed on of the first law school programs in the United States on Collaborative Law. Ms. Wayne has served as an Adjunct Professor of Collaborative Law at Pace University School of Law since 2008.
Ms. Wayne is a trained mediator and works as a non-coercive neutral to help clients resolve disputes and negotiate agreements as an alternative to litigation. She participated in the 2005 and 2006 Harvard Negotiation Insight Initiative in Cambridge, Massachusetts and frequently serves as a facilitator for the Center for Understanding in Conflict in New York City. Her training in conflict resolution includes the following areas: special education; parent-teen; victim-offender (restorative justice); and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender advocacy.
Ms. Wayne has lectured on collaborative law and conflict resolution at various institutions including Pace University School of Law; St. John’s University; Fordham Law School and the Institute for Senior Action.
