Through BAILE, Pace Law School offers a unique combination of classroom and field training. Each year, our students travel to Brazil to experience the environmental issues they have studied in the classroom first hand.
Institute of International Commercial Law
The Institute is a center for research on the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG), which governs the commercial transactions among the majority of the world's trading nations. The Institute supports the Pace CISG Database, founded the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, and co-sponsors the Clive M. Schmitthoff International Essay Competition.
International Judicial Institute for Environmental Adjudication (IJIEA)
IJIEA, currently supported by Pace Law School, aims to foster professionalism and effectiveness in environmental adjudications world-wide in order to strengthen the rule of law and further sustainable development. IJIEA seeks institutional, organizational, and strategic partners from around the world for collaboration on its upcoming and continuing activities, including the development of a global directory of environmental courts and tribunals.
New York State Judicial Institute
The New York State Judicial Institute is a 52-week-a-year center for education and research designed to enhance the quality of the courts of the New York State Unified Court System, and ensure that the New York State judiciary sets the standard for judicial excellence around the country. To ensure that the judiciary remains current on developments in the law as well as other disciplines that influence the law, the Institute focuses its programs on emerging trends and cutting-edge issues. The Institute fosters a "think-tank" atmosphere to help judges fashion solutions to issues facing the justice system. The Institute provides a framework for fostering a dialogue between the Judiciary, the practicing bar, and the public.
