Laura Jensen joined the Elisabeth Haub School of Law as Assistant Director of Environmental Programs in July 2012. She previously served as the Graduate Research Fellow for the Environmental Law Program, where among other accomplishments she co-authored an amicus brief in the Deepwater Horizon case that was endorsed by more than fifty environmental law professors from across the country. Laura’s work as Director intersects with the work of many faculty members, students, and our research centers. She oversees the programs annual events, the Global Center for Environmental Legal Studies student research program, the DC Environmental Externship Program, the UN Diplomacy Program, and the program's communications and outreach including its annual reports and monthly newsletters. She also counsels environmental law students on curriculum and career planning and teaches as an adjunct professor of law.
Laura received her JD magna cum laude with a Certificate in Environmental law in 2011 from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law, where she was a Presidential Law Scholar. She received an LLM degree in Environmental Law from the Haub School in 2012. During law school, she participated in the Federal Judicial Honors Program and served as a Productions Editor for the Pace Environmental Law Review.
Laura is admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey. Her professional memberships include the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
