Legal Management of Urban Environments (LAW 796)

An entire body of environmental protection measures is found exclusively at the municipal level: the course examines how a local government integrates its land use, noise, wetlands, shade trees, refuse, and regulations through its administrative structure, to control issues as urban sprawl.  This course compares the varied state law approaches to environmental protection in urban environments.  It also examined federal delegation of many environmental laws to state and local government.
