Announcing the 2016 PILC Public Interest Summer Fellowship
This is Pace Law School’s ONLY funding source for summer internships in the public sector!
You do not have to have an internship secured already to apply!
Thinking about working in public interest, government or at an environmental organization this summer? YOU should apply!
APPLICATION DUE: On or before February 29, 2016 at 3p.m. to the PILC Office
In order to be eligible to apply, you must FIRST complete and file the following with the Financial Aid office:
(1) Your 2015-16 & 2016-17 FAFSA applications(regardless of whether you currently have loans); and
(2) A 2016 Summer Aid Application (Click here to download; You should request Off-Campus Federal Work Study on page 1).
All applicants MUST obtain two items for the PILSO Auction.
Summer funding for unpaid public sector positions comes from our annual PILSO (Public Interest Law Students organization) Online Auction. The Online Auction will be open in early March, and funding applicants must secure 2 donated items to be auctioned off – we will help you get started! Simply email Auction Co-Rep, Nicolette Pellegrino, to be assigned items to procure. (Students are also welcome to utilize their own contacts or resources to obtain items but must still contact Nicolette to obtain prior approval to avoid multiple students contacting the same vendor).
**The PILC Public Interest Summer Fellowship is a competitive grant program that funds students working at full-time unpaid, off-campus public interest summer internships for which they are NOT receiving academic credit. Applicants are not guaranteed funding. The fellowship cannot fund work at for-profit law firms or institutions, lobbying organizations or judicial internships/clerkships.
