Renner Walker

Renner Walker joined Pace Law School as an Environmental Law Graduate Research Fellow in the summer of 2016. He previously practiced administrative and environmental law as an Assistant Attorney General in the Iowa Department of Justice and clerked for Chief Justice Mark S. Cady of the Iowa Supreme Court.

Renner received his J.D. from Drake University Law School in 2012, where he served as Associate Editor of the Drake Law Review and Captain of Drake's Environmental Law Moot Court Team. During law school, he wrote his student note on nuisance suits against wind farms and the constitutional implications of providing statutory immunity against those suits. Renner practiced as a student attorney in the Neal and Bea Smith Legal Clinic and interned for the Iowa Department of Justice, the Iowa Supreme Court, and a Des Moines law firm. He also served as President of the Drake Law Chapter of the American Constitution Society. He is the 2012 recipient of the Justice David and Madonna Harris Award and the 2012 recipient of the Iowa State Bar Association Graduating Senior Award.

Renner received his B.A. in Philosophy, English, and History from the University of Iowa in 2007. He is admitted to the bars of Iowa and California.
