Public Interest Career Counseling

Pace’s Center for Career and Professional Development provides various services specifically designed for students and alumni interested in public interest/public service positions. Resumes and cover letters prepared for these employers may include different information to make a candidate more attractive to these employer types. For example, public interest employers are less concerned with grades and more concerned with the candidate’s commitment to serving the public. Therefore, you should contact the director of the PILC for advice on preparing for a public interest/public service job search.

For further guidance on pursing a career in public interest, see our Public Interest Career Guide.
