Kait Filzer

  • Access to Justice Legal Specialist/Program Manager

Kait is the Access to Justice JD Legal Specialist/Program Manager in the Public Interest Law Center. Kait helps to coordinate PILC’s public service-career related programs and manages our pro bono opportunities, working with external stakeholders to involve students in pro bono work in a variety of practice areas. Kait also coordinates and implements the PILC summer funding program for students pursuing public interest internships. She provides career counseling for students interested in public service.

Prior to joining the Public Interest Law Center, Kait worked as an attorney in civil legal services as well as in the private sector. She has previously developed and managed pro bono programming, specializing in limited-scope services and law student engagement. Kait received her J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law, where she was a member of the Toledo Law Review.
